What really grinds me is all this sanctimonious indignation about infidelity. People are sleeping around all over the place, and news outlets call one instance a scandal. Yeah, right.
I can't help thinking of this classic Onion article...
As with the Clintons, the Edwards marriage is their own business.
And we're not electing a president to uphold the sacred cow of monogamy, anyway. As long as a president does a good job running the country, they can sleep with everyone from here to Timbuktu, as far as I'm concerned.
If you look at great leaders throughout history, a rather large percentage of them had problems being monogamous.
